Skills for Life
Liz Cousins' expertise in Basic Skills is rooted in the experience of setting up the East Midlands Skills for Life Pathfinder Partnership for DfES.
She is a Standards Unit consultant on Skills for Life, managed Skilled, a DfES funded basic skills project for young people, and researched existing capacity and future needs of the Skills for Life workforce for East Midlands LSC. She has devised a template that can be applied to other regions.
She continues to support the Skills for Life partnership in the East Midlands, contributing the news update of the East Midlands Skills for Life website. She has also contributed to a best practice guide to Skills for Life for the DfES testbed learning communities and a GOEM funded leaflet for local strategic partnerships on basic skills.
